Established in 1985, Island Brook Estate stands as a testament to a family's enduring dedication to winemaking excellence. Nestled to the north of Margaret River, this family-owned estate is characterised by its iconic old red truck, a symbol of the warmth and charm that awaits visitors.
The roots of Island Brook Estate trace back to the planting of the Metricup vineyard in 1985. The founders recognised the potential of the well-drained gravel loam soils and carefully selected grape varieties that harmonised with the unique terroir. This marked the beginning of a journey to produce wines that capture the essence of the Margaret River wine region.
In 2023, a new chapter unfolded for Island Brook Estate as Jill and Paul O'Callaghan took the reins, bringing with them a fresh perspective and a passion for revitalisation. Their vision for the vineyard aimed at preserving its rich history while infusing it with new energy and innovation. The O'Callaghan’s, with a deep appreciation for the terroir and winemaking traditions of Margaret River, have already made significant strides in elevating the estate's offerings.

This sweet style of Verdejo opens with a burst of tropical and stonefruit aromas. Time on light fermentation lees has given this a soft creamy note the nose. Halting the fermentation in this wine to allow for residual sweetness has created a soft, rich and unctuous palate chock full of tropical fruit flavours. Natural acidity balances the wine to allow for a wonderful soft and creamy finish.
